Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Small and cozy restaurant for two to four person dinner, small menu and open kitchen. Excellent and attentive service, house wine was really good. Food is well prepared, was tasty and fairly priced, however, we choose four stars as all dishes came with a flavor or texture twist we found as rather hindering the experience. Nevertheless, recommended place for a nice dinner."
"First thing first: The service is superb. Told her that this lunch is the first meal of the day. she pours the white wine and said here comes your coffee. Love it. The food is equally good and impressive. Chose the chicken pea as the entree and the veal as the main course. Delicious as it looks. This is the bistro style restaurant that I would come back for its human/humor touch with the present dishes."
"It’s a French-Asian fusion restaurant. The dishes has many level of flavor on it. The ingredients used is carefully selected with balance of taste on each of the dishes Personally like the entree - grilled octopus a little burnt and crunch taste on the outside and super tender and juicy inside. Well balanced. Grill pork cooked to perfection as well. Desert - I like the rice pudding - intelligently mix all the ingredients to a well balance level and few level of taste - super brilliant. Love this restaurant a lot."
"The restaurant ist super small but super cozy with a great atmosphere. There is only 1 server, but she was doing an amazing job handling all tables. The food is extremely good. Classic to modern french cuisine like you‘d expect it in Paris, but without clichee dishes. Every dish was absolutely amazing & we even took 1 additional starter as well as 1 additional dessert because the other ones were so good. All in all a flawless experience & would 100% recommend. Also very very good value for money."
"I recently dined at Le Matré and had a starter, main, and dessert, and every course was excellent. This is clearly a higher standard of cooking, with elevated dishes that feel thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Each course met expectations in terms of flavour, quality, and execution. The atmosphere is calm and cosy, with soft lighting and a comfortable setting that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Service was attentive and professional, adding to the overall sense of polished dining. Thank you."
"Amazing experience! The buckwheat mushroom foie gras was a showstopper! Super cozy atmosphere that makes it enjoyable even for a solo diner."
"What a surprise! Small and hidden but so charming. It's a very atypical place , where you can eat by the kitchen or on some comfortable sit . The waiters are absolutely amazing and helpful. They speak good English. Food is very thin, tasty and elaborate. You will be able to taste some up to date french classics. Quality is the word that describes their kitchen best. I strongly recommend the place to share with your beloved ones."
"It’s so nice to have a proper restaurant in Montmartre that isn’t aimed at tourists! I liked the Asian touches on the menu, which made the dishes interesting. The scallops were excellent as was the Daube de boeuf. The tuna tartare was a little bland. The house wines were tasty! I liked the small intimiste space. The service was ok. Maybe she was tired. Not the usual friendliness that I’ve experienced at so many similar restaurants around Paris where people seem to love their work."
